OLA ENGINEERING

 

Christie Schmitt is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and grew up in

Clayton county. She currently resides in Henry with her husband,

12 year old son Carson, and 9 year old son named Nathan.

 

Teaching Experience:

• 2001-2004 - Lovejoy Middle School - Clayton County

• 2004-2008 - Lovejoy High School - Clayton County

• 2008-2009 - Pike County High School - Pike County

• 2009-2012 - Arabia Mountain High School - Dekalb County

• 2012-current - Ola High School - Henry County

 

She believes that:“Technology is the technical means people use to improve their surrounding” (Wright & Smith, 1987). The content we teach in our classrooms will have a lasting impact on our students as they enter the world before them. Technology Education provides students with the understanding and determination to help improve our surroundings in technologically savvy ways while understanding the impacts that engineers and designers of the past may not have thought about.
